With the Thor movie opening up this weekend, comic book fans are salivating for a Thor story that will satiate them until they can see the character on the big screen. With so many good Thor books on the stands right now (The Mighty Thor and Journey Into Mystery, to name a few), it is disappointing that it's Astonishing Thor that will be the Thor book promoted front and center at the comic book shops this weekend. While this series started off promising in the first two issues, it has slowed from a crawl to a dead stop in issue #4, leaving a bad taste in this reviewer's mouth before going to see the favorably reviewed Thor film.
