If Fear Itself was meant to be an opportunity for the new and improved War Machine to rise to the occasion, that hasn't exactly happened so far. Rhodey is barely more than a guest star in his own book while Iron Fist and the Immortal Weapons take center stage. The upside to this strange arrangement is that Nick Spencer is able to shine a light on a group of characters who deserve far more attention than they've been getting in recent years. Whether this arc proves satisfactory is entirely dependent on how much you enjoy the Immortal Weapons.
