From the very first pages the mood is immediately cast. Between Joshua Hale Fialkov's writing and Andrea Sorrentino's amazing art, you almost get chills. My only complaint with this series from the beginning was the fact that hundreds of innocents were being attacked and turned into vampires. There's no way such a large number of people disappearing could go unnoticed. At this point, the other heroes and the Justice League exist. This would be a case that some heroes would make time to investigate, even if the attacks didn't occur on their home turf. With Mary, Queen of Blood's decision to pay Gotham City a visit, the attacks will no longer be a secret.
