When this anthology book was first announced I wasn't quite sure what to make of it. Like many other 20-somethings I watched the movie as a child and played the ill received NES game, but didn't have much more exposure to the character beyond that. Well I'm as surprised and happy as anyone to report that this issue succeeded on two levels; it sparked my interest in the character as well as proved that there is still room in this grim and gritty comics world for some old-fashioned adventurin'.
