This is one of those issues of a mini-series that proves the story could've been told in fewer installments. Lost Command #4 has plenty of the badass moments I've come to expect from the series, with far less of the notable characterization and plot development. It's still enjoyable, it's merely the fact that this entire issue could be boiled down to a few pages, if need be. We're no further to finding out what Vader's flashbacks mean to the overall plot. Although, this issue does go to great lengths to provide some interesting parallels between Vader and the man he was sent to the Ghost Nebula to rescue, Admiral Tarkin 鈥?Moff Tarkin's son. It's not subtle, but it's not heavy handed either. Blackman knows just where to pull back to leave the comparison obvious but unspoken.
