Jeff Lemire and Pier Gallo's Superboy has got me severely divided. On the one hand, it's great to see Connor Kent back in his own series (along with Krypto, of course). But on the other hand, it's a series that so desperately wants to create a cast for Connor in Smallville that it's slowly becoming a derivative mirror of the classic Superman supporting cast. I assume the idea is to put Connor through the same sort of trials that Clark went through, but so far the series has felt unflatteringly familiar and lacks anything unique.
