In The Dreaming, human Rose Walker has just discovered that she is a "dream vortex" and because of that, the Lord of the Dream Realm intends to kill her for the safety of all mankind. Gilbert AKA Fiddler's Green tries to intervene on her behalf, offering his life in her place, but to no avail. Then, Rose's sleeping grandmother Unity appears on the scene, and she's much more aware of the situation than even Morpheus himself!
