As one of the few woman super heroes, Wonder Woman often faced off against female villains as writer William Moulton Marston fleshe dout her rogues gallery. A memorable example is the villainous Cheetah, introduced here on a dynamic cover by Harry G. Peter. Jealous of Wonder Woman after meeting her at a charity event, Priscilla Rich adopted the costumed identity of the Cheetah and stole the charity's money in an attempt to frame the Amazon Princess. Although the Cheetah appeared to die, she staged a comeback later in the same issue and went on to become one of Wonder Woman's most iconic enemies.
