After the events of Second Coming, the X-Men try to recover from Bastion's attacks and are settled in Utopia and San Francisco. The first arc of the series is tied to the "Curse of the Mutants" storyline. The second arc starting with issue # 7 is the "To Serve and Protect". This follows the X-Men as they strive to become heroes once again in society's eyes. As of the unfortunate Schism, the X-Men have now split in half, seperate factions lead by Wolverine and Cyclops. Storm lead's a team consisting of Warpath, Colossus, Psylocke, Jubilee and Domino whom are all dubbed the Secruity Recon team, Utopia's main act of defence, this is the X-Men's more international act of attack. The First arc deals with the fall out of Sentinels from the national arms conference where War Machine guest star's to apprehend Storm and her team.
