This is a classic and pioneering book in its field, and despite the notoriety that its subsequently Nobel-laureate author may have gained later in life, a masterly exposition of the basic ideas of semiconductor physics by one of the pioneers in the field, well worth scanning today. It presents among other things the "tilted parking garage" model to explain how holes in the valence band behave exactly like electrons in the conduction band -- except for an apparently positive charge for the holes. But is this a legitimate offer for this book? I believe that the same book can be obtained without much difficulty from other used book dealers for $100 or under -- which isprobably a fair indication of the book's value.
