Late into the 19th century, a pandemic very nearly brought about a collapse of civilization. Those who survived the terrible disease face a different ordeal: an enduring threat from wendigos, corrupted people who prey upon their fellow man. Vicious and incredibly lethal, wendigos succumb to only one class of warriors: so-called slayers.
Barely human themselves, slayers struggle to find acceptance among the very people they protect, faced with suspicion both for their origins and their association with immensely powerful firms that have come to dominate many aspects of society. Julia is one such slayer who chose that pursuit after having lost all who she held dear. Vowing to endure any hardship or pay any price, Julia is driven by one purpose: decimation of her mortal enemy.
