After the game changing events of last issue, readers are wondering just how this book would come to a close. Well suffice it to say that it ends with a bang, and sets the stage for a power vacuum within Cobra that may prove to be the most ambitious thing IDW has attempted with the G. I. Joe property to date.
Although there are plenty of "oh crap!" moments to be had, there is substance and weight to everything that happens.
A certain level of tension is reached right before Chuckles gets discovered. His internal dialogue kept me guessing as to just how the scene with Big Boa would play out, and for a second it seemed he would actually pull off his ruse. But things quickly go belly up and the resulting fight between the two is both graphic and intense. It's not gory or ultra-violent, but rather the struggle is portrayed like a real-life fight where just a few well-placed hits are enough to permanently end it.
