Every year when the carnival hits Venice, a portal opens allowing twisted versions of fairytale creatures to invade, murdering and kidnapping residents and tourists alike. The local authorities deny the strangeness of events and actively work to keep the cause of such murders secret from the populace. However, there is a resident who knows the truth behind the killings, a monster hunter that stalks the streets trying to save the people from the nightmares among them.
