    Thank you so much for sharing! I’d pretty much had it with Microsoft but when I started reading thru some info I just wasn’t getting comfortable with Linux. I’ve got some sort of mental block when it comes to computers which I think goes back to when I first started working as a paramedic and made the change from a paper system to computers. Well, to make a long story short…..when you work in a large city and need info on a patient you need to give the computer a bit more info than a last name if you don’t want to be there for a few hours. Some names are definitely worse…..I typed Smith then without thinking hit enter well, I basically ground the system to a halt and the director had a thick printout on his desk the next morning. It’s now 20+ yrs later and I still haven’t lived that one down!

    first time i’ve seen a web page like this… i’ve been V interested in LINUX for a fair while now, and i think i need to have a look at this kind of book… i’m still struggling to find the book that will have me understanding linux… if this is it in your opinion, i’m really keen to read and learn!.
