When I think about my favorite comic book team books, the Secret Six always tends to creep its way to the top of that list. With all due respect to books of similar quality (i.e. Thunderbolts, X-Factor, etc.), Gail Simone's series, featuring a deranged group of lesser known DC Comics villains, delivers the most consistent product each month with top rate stories that dabble in the dramatic and humorous, while always hitting a sinister tone that is unequaled in comics today. And without too much surprise, the current arc, "The Darkest House," has only gotten better as we are brought to the Secret Six's final attempt to fight off the hordes of Hell.
