Since the first issue, we've just seen Superman brooding a bit and then attacked by an alien entity. He would defeat it and not know what the meaning or reason behind the attack. There has been a common tie as they all seemed to speak the same language. After three issues, we're finally getting some answers as to what is going on.
One concern I had from the first issue was Lois' new role as the 'chief' of the TV news division. Sitting behind the scenes or a desk doesn't seem worthy of her character. At least we get to see the possibility that she still has her investigative skills as she might be onto a pretty big discovery.
We may not have all the answers here but the revelation at the end promises to make the next issue give us all the answers we've been waiting for.
