Brian Michael Bendis has written several event books during the course of his Avengers run, but Fear Itself marks perhaps the first time the writer is directly tackling a major event from another writer. Luckily, Fear Itself is able to naturally fold into the events of this series, and the result is Bendis' strongest Avengers book in quite some time.
