This volume is probably the most realistic of all the trades so far. Kirkman revisits the idea that man is more of a monster than the walking dead themselves; the idea that men are power hungry and cannot co-exist with one another. All hell breaks loose at the prison where there is all out war going on between the two groups. Another way this is realistic is the fact that characters you know and love, characters we knew from the beginning, characters that would normally be "safe" in a movie, television show, or any other book/comic, die. Shocking deaths happen left and right. In the end, know one is safe.
