"No Way Out" may have been the descent into madness Walking Dead fans have been waiting for, but both issue #83 and now #84 have proven to be uncharacteristically flawed installments. To a certain extent the problems are visual. As with last month, Charlie Adlard's work appears rushed; his lines are frequently too thick. Finer facial details are haphazard and vague. Even Cliff Rathburn's gray tones are lacking in contrast and distinction. Mind you, Adlard employs many effective shots and a generally attractive sense of page composition throughout this issue. It's more the figures that suffer.
