Some of Marvel's .1 books have been questionable both in terms of their placement within their respective series and their actual functionality as jumping-on points. Like Uncanny X-Force, Thor is a series that was so recently overhauled that a fresh jumping-on point is unnecessary. And in some ways, Thor #615 makes a better introduction for the franchise than issue #620.1. However, as a glimpse into Thor's world through a fresh set of eyes, and as a primer for a villain who will no doubt have a much larger role to play in the Marvel Universe this summer, this issue is worth a look.
