With so much of the Marvel Universe dominated by Fear Itself this summer, it's nice to see any new, high profile series that stands on its own. Joe Casey's Vengeance is certainly unique enough to stand apart in Marvel's lineup. Individually, many elements of this series are very intriguing and well-written. But as a cohesive whole, the series simply isn't there yet.
