Vivian Simpson is a beautiful, independent and strong woman. Widowed eight years ago
and left with three kids to support, she has had her share of life’s misfortunes. Now, the
kids have grown up, her business is thriving and Vi believes her life is complete.
Basically a loner with a troubled past, police officer Clayton Marshall was determined to
better himself, in spite of his dysfunctional upbringing. Turning his life around and
becoming one of Amityville’s finest was a major accomplishment for Clay. While Clay
relishes the well-deserved admiration and respect he receives from every man on the
police force - he is surprisingly unaware and unaffected by the female attention he
receives from his fellow female officers and from all other women who cross his path.
Turning female heads with his strong, muscular physique and dark good looks is not
something Clay wants at this point in his life or in the near future.
The casual acquaintance Clayton and Vi share changes when her son, (Clayton’s partner),
is brutally murdered in grocery store robbery. Going beyond the call of duty, Clayton is
there for Vi, comforting her through the grief of losing her son. However, Clayton’s good
intentions are run off course when Vi’s touch, although innocent, suddenly unleashes
a fierce yearning within him, and its not long before he wants to do more than comfort the
sultry widow.
